Healthy Eating, or Healthy Lifestyle?

‘Healthy eating’ or ‘healthy lifestyle’ is a worldwide trend and common interest among many people around the globe. When you think of healthy eating you would probably imagine a shopping trolley full of expensive seeds, vegetables and rare tropical fruits. Healthy lifestyle? This probably would relate you to daily exercise and managing stress.

Healthy lifestyle also means not skipping breakfast, the most important meal of your day. Apart from providing with energy, research shows that any essential nutrients missed at breakfast are less likely to be compensated for later during the day. It is for the reason, that chefs have created this special super food breakfast menu.

Superfoods are a special category of foods found in nature. They are superior sources of antioxidants and essential nutrients: nutrients we need, but cannot make ourselves. Unlike most healthy foods, which normally contain two or three particular nutritional properties, superfoods often have 12 or more.OORR-landscape-1440-x-900

One&Only Reethi Rah recently Introduced MyOOsuperfoods:  To pack your breakfast with natural miracles that can help maintaining a good health and energy level, resort’s chef has revealed #MyOOsuperfoods: a set of superfood combinations that are calorie sparse and nutrient dense – meaning they pack a lot of punch for their weight as far as goodness goes.

Using key ingredients such as beetroot leaves, avocado, kale, spirulina, black and white quiona, chia seeds, flaxseeds, kaniwa, macca, 0% fat Greek yoghurt and Madagascar honey, each #MyOOsuperfood combination has its own benefits and they all provide energy and promote a sense of wellbeing. Some of these ingredients may be rare and difficult to source at home, but most of them can easily be found.

“A surreal land of blue lagoons and soft white sands.” Formerly known as ‘King’s Island,’ the Maldives is a surreal land of blue lagoons and soft white sands awash in an ocean of teal and indigo. Its beguiling name means ‘garland of islands’ in Dhivehi, the local language.

Maldivian culture is a distinctive blend of the different influences that have shaped the isles over the years – from African drumming to Oriental jewellery-work. Perhaps the most important element is ‘bodu beru,’ the huge drum (made of coconut wood and either goat hide or manta ray skin!) that gives its name to the hypnotically rhythmic traditional form of music and dance.

Very little has changed since ancient mariners first sailed these seas. Just one-sixth of the country’s 1,190 islands are inhabited – mostly peaceful fishing villages nestled among the palms. The Maldives today remains a necklace of soft sand atolls laid out on the shimmering azure waters of the Indian Ocean.

Although no one knows who first named this glittering archipelago that stretches north-to-south across the equator, explorers, traders and travellers have been coming here for centuries – each generation as enchanted as the last.

Surrounded by the wonders of the Indian Ocean, One&Only Reethi Rah makes its home on one of the largest islands in North Malé Atoll. A jewel among a string of coral atolls, lagoons and white sands, it is about 700 km (430 mi) southwest of Sri Lanka.
